It’s March, which means St. Patrick’s Day in Hartford is right around the corner! We’ve rounded up our favorite ways to celebrate—check them out below!
Saturday, March 12th at 11:00am
This year marks 50 years of the Greater Hartford St. Patrick’s Day Parade, and since the parade was not able to take place for the past two years, we know that this year will be one to remember. The parade starts at 11:00am. You can check out the parade route below!
Saturday, March 12th at 1:00pm
After watching the parade, head on over to Pratt Street for the parade’s after party! Pratt Street is also home to one of parade day’s most popular bars—Vaughan’s Irish Public House. The pub will be setting up their outdoor bar and serving a specialty menu, along with the other restaurants on the street. The Misty Mountain Ramblers will be singing your favorite Irish tunes until 4:00pm. If being inside a crowded bar after the parade isn’t your thing, Pratt Street is the spot for you!
Saturday, March 12th from 9:00am–3:00am
The bars on Ann Uccello tend to be another home base on parade day, and this year, they’re upping the ante! When you buy a ticket in advance, you’ll get automatic access to The Russian Lady, The Tavern Downtown, and The Rocking Horse Saloon. Pro tip: The Russian Lady has a rooftop bar and a back patio bar—both of them perfect places to watch the parade as it comes down Asylum!
Saturday, March 12th from 8:00am–2:00am
Red Rock Tavern will be hosting their annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade party again this year, and their menu is not to be missed. Swing by the tavern for a Leprechaun Mimosa, and have one of their corned beef dishes off of their St. Paddy’s Day menu—we’re partial to their corned beef egg rolls! You can see their full food and drink menu below:
Thursday, March 17th
The Half Door is hosting their annual St. Patrick’s Day celebration. While a start and end time for the day has not been set yet, we can count on them to host one of the best St. Paddy’s celebrations that the city sees. In past years, kegs and eggs have been served early in the morning both indoors and out. Half Door not only has their normal bar inside, but a tented outdoor bar and seating area as well. You can also be assured that like in previous years, they have some of the best live traditional Irish music around!
Hartford loves celebrating St. Patrick’s Day—make sure you don’t miss out! Don your green, grab your friends and family, and get ready to dance a jig long into the night!
