The Eversource Hartford Marathon is back! On October 8th, Downtown Hartford will be filled with runners, family members, friends, and local spectators to celebrate the city’s biggest event. Look no further for race details, each race’s routes, and the best places to eat and drink during marathon week!
Where Can I Sign Up?
Interested in lacing up those sneakers? There’s still time! Online registration closes on October 5th, and the Hartford Marathon Foundation has a race for everyone! Choose between the full marathon, the half, the 26.2 relay, and the 5K! Register here!
Age Requirements:
Marathon: minimum 16 years of age
Half Marathon or Team Relay: minimum 12 years of age
5K: minimum 5 years of age
Where and When Do I Pick Up My Race Packet?
Race Packet Pick Up and the HMF Fitness Expo takes place on October 6th, from 4:00pm–7:00pm and October 7th, from 12:00pm–9:00pm at the XL Center. After you pick up your gear, make sure to check out the vendors and exhibitors that can help you prepare for race day. Remember, there are no pick ups or registration on the day of the race.

What Other Events are Taking Place During Marathon Week?
Pre-Race Party on Pratt
Thursday, October 6th from 4:00pm–8:00pm
The Pratt Street Historic District is celebrating racers during packet pick up on Thursday, October 6th! Racers and their families can head over to Pratt Street for live music by The Mancini’s, food specials, family-friendly games, and a free drink for each racer that shows their bib at Vaughan’s Pub or Sunberry. Head on down to @prattstreethartford to join in on the block party!
Eversource Hartford Marathon Post-Race Party in Bushnell Park
Athlete Food Tent (8:00am–2:00pm—All athletes can refuel with fresh eats!
Mile 27 Beer Garden (9:00am–2:00pm)—enjoy ice cold beer from Samuel Adams, Truly Hard Seltzer, and Angry Orchard Cider, all while listening to live music at the Bushnell Stage. Each athlete (21+) will get one free beverage!
Awards—Top overall finishers will receive awards at the finish line on Trinity Street directly following their race. All other award recipients can pick their prizes up at the Results/Awards Area in Bushnell Park.
Charity Village (all day long) check out the official charities of the Eversource Hartford Marathon.
Hartford Athletic vs. Oakland Roots SC at Trinity Health Stadium
October 8th at 7:00pm
Hartford Athletic’s final home match of the season takes place in the evening right after the Eversource Hartford Marathon! Hartford Athletic is a great place to bring your family and friends who supported a racer in the morning. The biggest bonus—it’s $2 beer, $1 hot dog night! You can purchase tickets here.
What Amenities Does Hartford Marathon Foundation Offer for Racers and their Families?
Baggage Check at the Bushnell Center for the Performing ArtsFree baggage check is available for all registered athletes, starting at 6:00am. All items must be picked up by 2:30pm.
Pace Teams—ProHealth Physicians Pace teams will be available for the Marathon and Half Marathon. The leaders will meet at the starting line 15 minutes prior to race start.
Pre- & Post-Race Stretch—Head to Bushnell Park before and after the race to join in on a group stretch led by Hartford HealthCare Rehabilitation Network.
